Can you remember some of your favourite teachers? I bet you do!

Having a good teacher is key when learning a language. It is really important to feel comfortable and motivated  during the process, and that’s why we have an exceptional team that will definitely make you enjoy every single step of it. We are proud to say that all our native tutors have a lot of experience in teaching languages, and apart from being professional and dedicated, they always have a smile on their face. (If you don’t believe me, go to see our videos!)

Today, we want to tell you a little bit more about two of them: Raquel Fernández and Raquel Peña. They tell us about their career, achievements and dreams. And of course, they also share some winning tips for people who are learning Spanish… Are you one of them? ¡perfecto!, carry on reading:

TIPS FROM OUR SPANISH TEACHERS:

  • Listen to Spanish music, podcasts or films, even if you don’t understand all of it. Little by little,  it will become easier.
  • Label your surroundings. Seeing those common words around your house everyday will help you expand your vocabulary.
  • Read, read, read. It doesn’t need to be a boring book… choose those things you enjoy reading. The newspaper, a fashion magazine, a recipe or a Harry Potter book, it doesn’t really matter.
  • Don’t translate literally. If you try to translate every single word from your language, you might build a wrong sentence.
  • If you have children, read some Spanish children’s books with them. You will learn new vocabulary and they will love it!
  • Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Embrace your mistakes and laugh off your inaccuracies! This is part of the process.
  • Apart from learning the language, learn about Spanish-speaking countries and cultures.
