On 27th November last, the teaching staff of Co Co Lanzarote successfully concluded a series of short term English and German courses, tailored to meet the requirements of the Medical Staff of Hospiten in Lanzarote.
After carrying out a needs analysis and assessing students using level tests, the courses “English in Medicine” and “Deutsch im Krankenhaus” were delivered at three different levels: Level A1 in German and levels A2 and B1 in English.
Reports by teachers show excellent student progress in relation to their speaking and listening skills with very dynamic participation.
The majority of students stated they had gained greater confidence when it came to speaking and expressing themselves, as well as having enjoyed their classes atmosphere and their teacher’s methodology.
In general, students gave the opinion that the lessons were pleasant, entertaining, original and they really learned a lot.
The stated goal of many of the students is to continue studying with their teachers next year.
