We can´t wait to meet you this coming Thursday 5th and Friday 6th from 5.00 p.m., onwards in our OPEN HOUSE evening… to tell you more about our
SPANISH COURSES FOR RESIDENTS and our upcoming SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.
Just drop by for a glass of wine 🍷and enjoy meeting other people 😊🎶
When I think of Lanzarote, I think of tradition, nature, sun, wind…. But, in addition, Lanzarote means the hands of the artisans and the cordiality of its people too. It is the magic of nature, that makes volcanoes paint, whistle and emit that inexplicable tranquillity that is breathed on the island.
When a foreigner uses certain expressions and tries to practise, for example, the word: “chaaa cho”, the Lanzaroteños feel identified and now you´re on their side.
…and although this way of speaking can sometimes throw you back a little and make you say…. “… the hell with this language…”, they are excellent teachers by nature and not only will they correct you patiently, but they love to teach you new expressions and aren’t happy till you have mastered it.
In Co Co Lingua this is one of our goals, to create bridges which will take you to their side, curious and eager to meet other cultures.
Luckily, they speak “real Spanish” too … the “peninsular residents” would say, they speak “Canarian” and in any case, although skipping the end of the words, they always make themselves understood in one way or the other. After all, out on the streets, people speak Spanish in a rather colloquial way without formalities.
Lanzarote is a diverse island with plenty of Hispanic diversity, where you run into people from different Spanish-speaking countries.
In Co Co Lingua, we would like to show you the way and give you guidelines so that you can continue discovering the multi-coloured Hispanic culture by yourself.
