Honduras has never had the best reputation in the world, as a matter of fact, the term “Banana Republic” was first used to refer to Honduras, a country operated as a commercial enterprise for private profit, which most exactly describes the relationship between politically unstable Honduras, dependent on exporting bananas to favorite neighbor “uncle Sam”, the United States. Honduras, as any other prostitute, sold her soul to the devil.
History and politics haven´t changed since and neither has the voluptuous and inviting nature and warm-hearted people of this beautiful little country in Central America.
We would like to invite you to our school in September to discover Honduras through pictures and videos full of views of varied landscapes: Mountains, rivers, caves, rainforests, lakes, turquoise water, beaches, islands and cays, reefs, bays, waterfalls and protected areas, which constitute more than 36% of the country´s surface and much more… The “Rio Plátano” Biosphere Reserve in Honduras was declared by the UNESCO as World Heritage in 1980. The biodiversity of fauna and flora in Honduras is immense.
The second largest barrier reef of the world lies in Honduran waters, in the Caribbean Sea, making it a paradise for divers. Not all the jewels of our planet have been revealed yet. We invite you to discover unknown Honduras, despite its controversial reputation. A voyage of discovery you will not regret.
