Educational leave is a wonderful arrangement: you learn while your employer continues to pay your salary. This is possible in 14 of the 16 German federal states. With the exception of Bavaria and Saxony, you are entitled to five days of educational leave per year (even six in Saarland).

CoCo Lingua is a very good and very personally managed language school on Lanzarote. I had a great week with Eduardo as my teacher. Eduardo is very nice, has a great sense of humor, explains things well and makes the lessons very varied.With the super nice management of the language school “Elvia”, we went on daily excursions across the island in “Cultura y Actividades”. Ich war 2 Wochen im Co Co Lingua Sprachunterricht. Ursprünglich hatte ich mich für einen Intensivkurs angemeldet. Da ich aber die einzige Schülerin im B2 war, erhielt ich zweieinviertel Stunden Privatunterricht. Dies war für mich ein Glücksfall, konnte ich doch maximal profitieren. Elvia ist sehr kompetent, geduldig und herzlich. Sie ist komplett auf mich eingegangen, sei es in der Grammatik, im Voca sowie im mündlichen Teil, den sie ganz nach meinen Interessen  gestaltete. Mangels weiterer Buchungen hatte ich eine Woche Einzelunterricht bei Edu. Was für mich zunächst eher wenig erfreulich klang, stellte sich als positiv rau. Edu konnte so gut auf meine Fragen eingehen und hilfreiche Tipps auch neben dem Lehrplan geben. Und auch wenn er an meinen Wissenslücken manchmal verzweifelt ist, hat er den Unterricht sehr gut strukturiert und dabei den Spaß nicht zu kurz kommen lassen.

Wir haben unsere Tochter für insgesamt 10 Tage zum Einzelunterricht eingeschrieben. Die Abwicklung vor Beginn war sehr professionell und problemlos. Unsere Tochter wurde freundlich aufgenommen und und hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Die benannten Lernziele  wurden durch die Dozenten sehr gut umgesetzt. Es war die beste Entscheidung während meiner ersten Zeit auf Lanzarote (vor ca 2 Jahren), den Unterricht zu besuchen. Es wurde alles super verständlich erklärt und beigebracht und hat mein Spanisch innerhalb von 4-6 Wochen erheblich verbessert. Die Lehrkräfte sind super kompetent und haben eine Engelsgeduld. Great place to do an intense language course or regular weekly classes if you are in Lanzarote for a longer stay. We did both and felt both courses were very valuable. I can also recommend the hiking course, as it is a great opportunity to practice your Spanish socially with students and Elvia the amazing professor. Educational leave online: Advantages and disadvantages

If you are unsure whether an educational vacation on site in Lanzarote is the right choice for you, there is another option: educational vacations online.

With an online educational vacation, you learn in your familiar surroundings. You can make yourself comfortable at home and broaden your horizons at the same time. This has the advantage that you can take care of your personal commitments alongside your Spanish course.

In addition, you do not have to pay for the trip to Lanzarote. Employers are only obliged to continue paying your salary during your educational leave. Employees must pay for all other costs themselves.
